Meet Dr Lisa

“Every pet deserves a peaceful passing, surrounded by love.”

For over five years I have exclusively dedicated my veterinary practice to providing compassionate, dignified end-of-life care for beloved pets in the comfort of their own homes. I have helped thousands of families navigate this difficult time, and it has given me an even deeper understanding and appreciation for the profound bond between pets and their families.

My Story

Animals have been part of my life from the very beginning—from ducks and rabbits to reptiles and dogs while growing up in rural Pennsylvania. Helping my mother care for our diabetic dog, Missy, is what first inspired my journey to becoming a veterinarian. I earned my bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and then moved to California to attend veterinary medical school at Western University of Health Sciences.

Southern California is where my life truly came together—professionally and personally. My husband Dylan and I live in Brea with our four beloved Yorkshire Terriers—Monte, Ronin, Rio, and Tiki.

I have been a doctor practicing veterinary medicine for ten years, with the past four years dedicated exclusively to in-home end-of-life care. This has allowed me to combine my medical skills with genuine compassion—supporting pets and the families who love them.

Through A Compassionate Farewell, I help guide families through this final chapter with gentleness, understanding, and respect—ensuring your beloved companion’s last moments are peaceful, comfortable, and filled with love.

My Philosophy

A Gentle, Unhurried Approach

I believe that saying goodbye to a beloved pet should never feel rushed or clinical. This is one of the most profound moments you’ll share with your companion, and it deserves to be treated with the utmost care and respect.

When I come to your home, I believe in allowing families as much time as they need to be with their pet both before and after their passing, so I provide for a full hour during my visit to your home. There’s no clock ticking, no waiting room full of other patients. It’s just you, your pet, and the space to say goodbye in your own way.

“My role is to guide you gently through the process, answer any questions, and ensure your pet feels nothing but comfort and love.”

I administer a sedative and pain medication specifically tailored for your pet’s needs to ensure that they are completely relaxed and pain-free before the final medication is administered.

My Family

When I’m not caring for patients, I’m home with my own four-legged family. They remind me every day why this work is so important.
